The Sikh Naujawan Academy Camp is a wicked Camp for young kids from age
8-18, its a un time and a great LAFF!!
Lectures, workshops, recycled model making, surprise trip, the kids get
a chance to create videos, Comedy Drama Sketches, models made from
recycled materials, loads of langar and chips and beans, funa and games,
football, roti making and cricket and sports games, also discussions and
questions and answers about sikhi, kirtan simran and spirituality, even
some kids animations.
It's just an awesome camp that lifts the
spirits and lets the kids have a fun time learning about sikhi at the
gurdwara. The camp also gives young kids advice on bullying, drugs and
health issues.
The camp starts on the 15th August - 20th August, kids coming from
far will be provided with accommodation for the week at the gurdwara
premises and taken care of and supervised by the camp sevadaars.
The whole camp is free, only the trip on the friday costs £12 for camp
attenders.
The organisation also runs a Sikh Youth Helpline, for any types of
problems that sikh youth may have.
